Florida - 1763 - SPAIN CEDES FLORIDA TO THE BRITISH
At the conclusion of the French and Indian war, British controlled Havana is returned to Spain in exchange for Florida. Florida remains loyal to Britain during the American Revolutionary war and becomes an important outpost for Britain during that time.
